Rascal's 1st Field Trip

Rascal's first field trip was to the zoo and he was so excited. He had never rode on a bus before and never been on a field trip. I was so glad I was able to go with them as a chaperon and see how much fun he had. He asked for me to ride the bus with them and I agreed.......it's been a good 20 (?) years since I have rode on a bus and I don't remember it being SO BUMPY! It was still fun though.

Here he is with his friend L on the bus ready to go to the zoo.

Once we got to the zoo, we were free to go off where ever we wanted to, but before all the groups split we got one class picture.

My group (Just me, Rascal and his friend L) went straight to our zoos new dinosaur exhibit. It was AWESOME! I am not that big into dinosaurs but I could have stayed in that exhibit the entire time. We loved it.

Not only did the exhibit have huge animated dinosaurs but there was also a huge magnetic puzzle (that we gave up on) and fun trivia questions that we got right 80% of the time.

They also had a dinosaur dig, where the kids could excavate to find dinosaur bones.

Even though we could have stayed in that exhibit the entire time, we left and headed to see the rest of the zoo.

We met up with 2 other groups and since there were some close friends in those groups,we all hung out together the rest of the time.

Speaking of close friends....Rascal and Lincoln are close friends. They both were so excited to meet up and hang out together the rest of the time. Me and Lincoln's mom just sat back and laughed as they compared matching scars and stayed deep in conversation the entire time.

We sat and watched the seal lion show and ate lunch. It was the perfect spot to sit and keep the kids focused while they ate instead of running around the picnic area.
We had a really fun time and it went over much better than Scooter's field trip.
