~ I am LOVING instagram and I typically take pictures of our day to post on instagram so you may start seeing A LOT of picture posts around here. Those are always nice huh?!?!?
~ I need to back track and post on several things. I hope to get caught up today so maybe just maybe I will have a post for the each day for the rest of the week. Maybe......
~ Baby A is LOVING Big Bird (she calls him AH Bird, not sure why) right now. She wants to watch Sesame Street (a dvd we have) but loses focus when Big Bird isn't on the tv. I might need to find a Big Bird only DVD. It's nice to get the kitchen cleaned or the laundry done while she watches tv.
~ Scooter is growing up so fast. Not only do I see him physically getting taller and looking more like a "preteen" (GASP...not ready for that!) but his attitude is getting a little better. It seems he is over looking Rascal's pestering and handles SOME situations the right way. Today in the van, he even POLITELY asked Rascal to stop kicking the back of his seat. I was floored.....typically he bit Rascals head off for doing such things. Maybe he is growing up, maybe our constant reminders to be nice have sunk in or maybe God knew I needed a tiny light of positive attitudes to help encourage me. Whichever it is, I was definitely encouraged.
~ Baby A has not been such a morning girl lately. Man she is such a grouch in the mornings lately. I kinda think she may be cutting some molars but I really don't know. She has 4 molars now and I know she will get 4 more but I am not real sure when that is supposed to be. I feel totally equipped for her grouchy disposition in the morning though........I did have Rascal the grouch who would not speak a word to anyone before he had his chocolate milk in the mornings. Thankfully that stage for him is long gone and maybe I should try chocolate milk for Baby A?!?!? :)
~ I am BUSY lately with so much school related stuff. Field trips, field day (coming up), kindergarten graduation, 3rd grade awards ceremony, art show and another mom and I volunteered to make a scrapbook for each kid in David's kindergarten class. There are 20 kids in the class and there are at least 20 pages in each scrapbook. That equals a lot of time spent cutting, gluing, taping, arranging, rearranging, organizing and many hours spent trying to get each one perfect. It is fun but a lot of work too. The other mom and I sit around my table everyday during Baby A's 3 hour nap and talk while we scrapbook. It's lots of fun.
~Rascal takes at least 4 allergy medicines a day during this time of the year (he starts the medicine in February). Lately he has been WILD.... like climbing the walls, can't focus or sit still W.I.L.D. It has made me crazy trying to get him to listen. While at the doctor's office for Rascal's ear infection this past Monday, I asked his doctor if the Singulair could be making him wild. His doctor said ABSOLUTELY and we took him off of it right then. We are still waiting for it to all get out of his system but we are starting to see a difference. Praise the Lord!
~Baby A has started saying yes ma'am and no ma'am and it is the cutest thing EVER. She is so southern and to hear her say it melts me every time. She also has started to say so many names. It blows me away how much she can talk. People are always guessing she is at least 2 years old and when I tell them that she is only 21 months old they are shocked. Then I tell them she is almost fully potty trained and they are even more shocked. We are still working on her telling other people that she needs to go potty. She does AWESOME for me and Tim and is even SLOWLY getting better at not being scared to poop. That is HUGE for us. If you only knew the drama that came with her trying to go everyday....it would break your heart.
~ We took Henry to the vet yesterday. As far as we know he has never been to the vet. We got him from an ad on craigslist and he was a stray. With a new baby and the craziness of life we just never got around to taking him.....besides he was just an outdoor cat that caught our mice (and lizards). Well he started losing hair on his tail and I was worried about him so I took him yesterday to see a doctor here in town. He was so good. He just laid on the counter purring, so much that couldn't hear his heartbeat over it :) that didn't last long. He had a few ticks (which is understandable since he roams through our woods all the time) and that was what caused the bald spots. He got all his vaccines and his ears cleaned out , he had ear mites. He moped around yesterday but seems much better today. Now he should be free from ticks and ear mites and we are happy he feels better. He is such a sweet cat and wonderful around our kids.
~This is Baby A in car line yesterday. We were just p;laying around while she took her shoes off. I love to see that sweet dimpled smile!
Enough randomness for now. Hopefully I can get a few more posts typed up before it's time to start working on the scrapbooks again.

These next 5 years with Scooter will blow your mind! Justin's lil sis was just a little younger than that when Xander was born, it's just unbelievable how time flew by and how thinking 18 will be here before we are ready for it!
ReplyDeleteHappy to see Rascal is getting better! Poor little guy!
Glad Henry's okay. SO cute that A says yes ma'am and no ma'am! You've got to get video of that! I've tried and Xander still won't say it. He does say 'please and thank you and your welcome and excuse me' guess I should be okay with that. :)
