Picture Post

I know I posted this picture yesterday for Wordless Wednesday but I wanted to explain what was going on besides the obvious board game fun. Baby A wanted to play Candyland but hasn't the slightest idea of how to actually play. Rascal got into the game closet, pulled out the game and set it up and then he proceeded to patiently explain how to play the game. Needless to say a 3 year old will not catch on quickly and he just kept on sweetly explaining that she wasn't playing right. He never got mad, frustrated and he kept on until the game was over. I have no idea who won but knowing how Rascal is with Baby A, I am almost certain he let her win.

A few weeks ago, Baby A was having a very hard day. She was biting, whining, pestering, hurting Lucy, fighting with her brothers and just pretty much staying in trouble all day. I sent her to her room for a time out and she took it upon herself to go through the bag of fall/ winter clothes in her closet. She took down the summer clothes and hung up her tights, and pj's. I walked in to a MESSY room with clothes everywhere but she was just as proud as she could be.
That day consisted of many time outs and every single time she would get into something else.... lipstick, yogurt and aquaphor. Needless to say I don't think she has quite gotten the concept of time out and I need to be watching her every second while she is in time out.

Tim's office had a family day at the beginning of August. They cooked out and had a water slide and rides on the amphibious ATV's they assemble.
The weather was so perfect and we all had a really great time.

Baby A has discovered Cinderella the movie. She LOVES to watch it and whenever we put it on, she grabs her baby dolls and cuddles up on the couch to watch it with them. She even quietly talks to the baby dolls while watching. She is such a sweet little momma.

Baby A loves to help out in all kinds of ways.
One of her favorite is cooking.

She was helping her Uncle Jonathan make kabobs this time and she was so proud of herself.

** After looking at my last few months posts, I see that I really need to take more pictures of my boys. They are both in that age where they don't really want pictures taken. Most of the time I give in but I am going to try and get some pictures of my boys to post soon. I think it's time for a kid interview too. Look for it soon!

  1. Haha, I have to laugh. Girls! That's all I can say! Aliyah is exactly like A! She is headstrong and is ALWAYS into something! But at the same time, can melt you with her sweetness and cuteness! I am so so so happy that you guys have been able to spend more time together as a family! That is a huge blessing! So thankful for friends who value it as much as we do!
