Baby A's Big Girl Room

We made Baby A's room into a big girl room a few weeks ago. She has been a breeze to change from a crib to a toddler bed and now from a toddler bed to a twin size bed. She never fell out of her bed and it never disrupted her sleep habits. She still goes to bed without the least little problem, stays asleep all night and when she wakes up in the morning (or naps) she sits in her bed and calls for us.

I also should say that I have a serious addiction to rearranging things. I am not even kidding. Our house gets rearranged in some way at least every 3 or 4 months. This time is was not only Baby A's room that got rearranged but also the boys' room got her dresser, the upstairs had lots of furniture taken out and her play house was moved upstairs. I typically do all the rearranging while Tim is at work but this time I needed him and his brother to move things up and down the stairs.

Here is a glimpse of what our living room looked like while I waited for Baby A to wake up from her nap:

Once Baby A woke up, I moved her toddler bed out and put her twin size bed in her room. The iron headboard is technically a full size headboard but we are using it as a daybed for now. New bedding for her is on the Christmas list now. :)

I think these pictures show how much she loved her new bed

Here is a "Progress" picture of her room:

We still needed to move her playhouse upstairs and move her dresser down into her room

Friday night we had the extra help and got the rest of the furniture put into place.
Here is the after shots:

I absolutely love her furniture in her room. This is antique furniture that was handed down to us and I think it makes for the perfect elegant little girl's room.

  2. We are so alike! I get the urge to rearrange alot. I hate that our bed is so heavy because it's the one room I cannot move around. Our living room is about to get rearranged a bit to make room for the Christmas tree. For some reason, I find comfort in that. ha!
Love Baby A's room! It's gonna be even sweeter when you get her bedding!
