Happy 2nd Birthday Baby A!!!

Today my sweet little girl turns two years old so I thought I would do a little update. Here are a few of her favorites:

snack: goldfish or raisins
color: pink
breakfast: donuts or nutrigrain bars
lunch: ham and cheese (not a sandwich just the lunch meat with string cheese)
dinner: any kind of pasta especially "roni roni" (macaroni and cheese)
tv show: Ahh bird (Sesame Street, not sure why you call it this)
activity: coloring and playing with your baby dolls
song: Old Mac Donald (you only want to sing about the cow though) and Itsy Bitsy Spider
animal: that a close call between a dog and cat. You love them both A LOT!!
book: Book of Baby Animals by Roger Priddy ( I love any book by Roger Priddy)

A few of the MANY MANY words your saying now:
baylinkee (Blanket)
uh-bow (uh-oh)
necky (necklace)
Bracy (bracelet)
lips (put chapstick on)
gink (drink)
bo bar (fruit bar/ nutrigrain bar)

That is all I can think of right now. You can say pretty much anything you want to and you say it correctly too. We can thank your two older brothers for that. She also calls Rascal by his first and middle name. I love to hear her calling out his name to find him. It's the cutest!!

Baby A has started the independent "I can do it" phase. She has been known to hit, bite, spit and kick her brothers to get her way.  She thinks she is invincible and sometimes I just let her figure out for herself that she is not! :) Don't let all the pink and bows fool you.... this girl is TOUGH!

One thing that I think is so cute..... Baby A calls my dad, paw-paw. My dad said from the time Scooter was born that he wanted to be called papa like we called his dad. For what ever reason Baby A will sometimes (not always) call my dad paw-paw in her sweet southern accent and I actually like it. I mean she is the only granddaughter so she might as well have her own name for him. I don't think it bothers him one bit :)

You know how the saying goes... boys are closer to their moms and girls are closer to their dads. Well that is SO TRUE but it even goes further in our case. My boys are all about their grandmothers. They love their grandfathers so much but they gravitate to their grandmothers. Baby A is the opposite. She is in her "shy" around others phase but boy when we are at home all she talks about is my dad, Tim's dad, her brothers and her uncles. This poor sweet girl, not only does she have two older brothers to worry about when she starts dating but she has a few uncles that are going to be lined up for their approval too. ;)

Baby A is so girly but she knows how to get dirty and catch frogs too. She loves her hair done (with product and blow dried with a round brush.... yes she picks out her mousse and brush), trying on my heels, jewelry, and make-up, she loves her baby dolls and takes them everywhere with her, she LOVES LOVES legos (we must get her some mega blocks in girly colors) and the boys aren't so happy to share with her most times, she loves animals of all kinds (she is her mother's daughter) and she absolutely adores her brothers.

Baby A is my big helper around the house and follows me like my little shadow. I will pick her up and she hugs my neck TIGHT and says "love her" it melts me every single time! I love the way she mimics me and it is a constant reminder to be the example of a godly woman she needs to see.

Baby A is now out of her crib!! I was SO HESITANT to make this big switch. We had a HORRIBLE time with Rascal sleeping once he was out of his crib so those memories came back to mind. However I bit the bullet and made the switch. She is now full time sleeping in her toddler bed and NEVER once gets out of it when we lay her down. I may have just jinxed it but I like to think God is having mercy on me after dealing with Rascal and his sleep problems for so long!

Lots of new changes our on the horizon for Baby A. This next year we will be potty training and giving up the pacifier. I am choosing to do the easiest first which will be potty training. Yes that is just how attached she is to that pacifier!

Baby A goes this week for her 2 year old check-up so I am not sure what her weight and height are just yet. I can tell you she is good couple of inches taller than most girls her age. She is wearing a size 2T strictly now with even a few 3T dresses and tops. She has my legs that go on for miles so she must have a bigger size dress to be long enough for her. He torso seems long also so her tummy pokes out of some of her 2T shirts. Her shoe size is a bit crazy. She is definitely out of a size 6.5 now and into a size 7 but some are a little big still and some look as if they won't fit her for long. It's all a guessing game (all depending on the brand) when it comes to sizes and it should make for a challenging time buying her fall clothes.

Baby A has brought so much joy into our family. She is our answer to prayer and everything we ever dreamed of having in a daughter and SO MUCH more. We love her sweet personality, her southern accent, her adorable smile showing that dimple, the way she folds her hands in her lap and crosses her feet when she sits,  the way she giggles when you tickle her "piggies", the way she sits in our lap while touching our face so gently, the way she steals our seat when we get up and laughs uncontrollably and the way she comes up to us climbs in our lap and asks us to "rocky rocky" her. Her whole face lights up when she smiles and joy pours out of her. She has learned to love life to the fullest from Rascal and Scooter has taught her so many words that it blows most people's minds. She is one special little girl that I everyday I wake up and can't believe she is mine. It's a honor to be called her mom and a joy to teach her how to be a proverbs 31 woman.

HAPPY HAPPY Birthday to our Sweet Baby A!!!
