Sunday night - I was awaken by a rattle noise and I woke Tim to see if he heard it. He did and we turned all lights on to see what it was. The noise stopped, we went back to bed and I freaked out inside thinking someone had tried to break in. The we heard it again and realized the sound was a mouse trapped in our bathroom wall. Lovely!
Monday- Tim leaves on a business trip and I head way across town for Rascal's 3 1/ 2 hour allergy appointment.
Tuesday- We run a few errands and that's when I find the spoiled milk in the van. I spend an hour out in the heat cleaning out our van.
Wednesday- Wake up and find out my mom needs me to go with her to put my dog to sleep. Sadie was my dog I got right around the time I graduated high school. She was part of the family and now very much missed. We leave the vet upset and find out that I had to take care of a little boy's attitude. Not very fun at all.
Thursday- We stayed around the house all day excited to see Tim around lunch time. Then later I find out that one of his flights was delayed causing him to miss his other flight which in return gets him home around midnight instead of 6:00. BUMMER!
Friday- Would you believe no drama happened this day?!?! We make up for this weekend though!
Saturday- I wake up and smell something not so great. Walk into my bathroom and sure enough the mouse had died in the wall and was now leaving a wonderful smell.....just a few hours before a birthday party!!! Tim leaves the house early to head to the farmer's market. The plan was I would shower while he was gone and when he got back I would head off to go grocery shopping. Well I get a call after I am showered and waiting for him to get back home. He had a flat tire and needed me to meet him at the tire shop now. So I make the kids scarf their breakfast down, throw on some clothes and we head off to pick Tim up at the tire shop (which is right across the street from the grocery store). I have to go all the way back home drop them all off and then head all the way back to the grocery store. By this time I needed to HURRY so I could get back home and get everything put away and things ready for the party that afternoon. It all worked like a charm, we had the party and had a blast. Then after everyone leaves, the house is warm..... we take a look at the a/c unit and sure enough it's frozen. I pack all the kids up and we head to my in-laws while Tim stays to work on it.
Sunday- We get up and get ready for church at my in-laws. After church and lunch me, Baby A, my mother-in-law and Tim's grandmother load up my van and head across town to a baby shower. We left there and we were talking and laughing on the way home and BAM! I hit a pretty big deer! Actually I should say it hit me since it hit the side of my van where Tim's grandmother was sitting. It happened so fast but it flew up over my van and landed behind us on the road then jumped up and ran away. I found a spot to pull over and survey the damage. We lucked out and it only made a tiny dent around the back window and left some hair on my van too. We were lucky!
Monday- Baby A's birthday!! We spent the day with a/c repair guys in our house. It looks like as of Wednesday we will be the owners of a new a/c unit. Not exactly what I want to be spending a big chunk of money on but I will love a cooler home!
Sometime this week I have to go buy school supplies, go across town to pick up Rascal's allergy shot vials and bring them to a closer clinic (so we don't have to go so far each week to get the shots), take the kids to registration on Thursday, take Baby A to her 2 year checkup on Thursday, possibly fit in a fun swimming pool day and I think that might just be it!
I will try ever so hard to post party pics sometime this week!
Woah! What a week, would of never guessed by your smiling face Sunday. Hopefully this week will be much better.
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy busy week! I feel you! I sure hope things are on the up! It stinks when the hard earned and hard saved money has to go towards necessities! ha! I only laugh to keep from crying myself. I know! Each time we get a good amount saved something breaks! I guess it's a blessing to have the money saved in the first place but how fun those dining chairs or couch or new curtains or bedding or vacation(I could go on...) would have been...oh that's my life. :)
