Dates with my boys

A few weeks ago while Tim was away for the week on a business trip the boys got to take turns spending the day with me and Baby A. It was great one on one time and they got to choose what we did.

Rascal was my first date and he wanted to go to the mall to have lunch, ride the carousel and play on the indoor playground. So that is just what we did.

He picked pizza for lunch.

Then after lunch we were off to the carousel for a quick ride.

This was Baby A's first time to ride on the carousel and she loved it!! She looked around in awe of all the lights and mirrors and animals.

Then we went to the playground to play some but it was entirely too crowded. Thank goodness for LOTS of quarters in my purse. They got to ride all the rides by the playground instead.

Rascal was a fan of the ones that he and Baby A could get in together.

Baby A loved it all. Before one ride would finish she was pointing to another one to ride.
We finished the date up with a trip to Target to pick up some Pokemon cards.

A few days later it was Scooter's turn. Of course he chose to do the exact same thing that Rascal did.
So we ate lunch at the mall, this time we dined on Chick-fila.

Then we headed over to the carousel. One thing was different this time........

Someone was "too cool" to ride. I couldn't leave him standing alone while I was with Baby A riding it so he chose to sit on the bench and try to hide. Oh how he is growing up way too fast!!

She knew what was ahead this time and was all smiles and ready to go!

We skipped the playground and other rides so not to damage Scooter's ego too much ;)
We walked around going into to shops he wanted to look at and then headed to Walmart to pick up some Yugi-O cards.

They were two very similar and yet so very different dates. This was also the time that I realized the time is drawing close (way too quickly) that Scooter will not want to do this anymore. I am not looking forward to that day at all!

  1. This is so sweet! I started to tear up about Scooter though. :( Oh how the time goes by too quickly!
