I searched Pintrest for all sorts of ideas and found this one:
Boo, the ghost from Mario, made from a white balloon and sharpie marker drawn face.
I made 15 of these ghosts and hung them all around the house with fishing line. It was fun to see them "flying around" once the air kicked on, blowing them around.
I also decorated with coins and gold stars. I traced them out on poster board and glued gold tissue paper to them and called it a day. Super easy and CHEAP!
Once all the kids got there. I had them each make their own pizza since Mario was Italian.
They really enjoyed making theirs very unique.
While the pizzas baked in the oven they played a few rounds of Mario Bingo.
I found a site with free Mario printables and printed out pin the mustache on Mario and Bingo. Bingo was the favorite one to play. As prizes I gave the kids a big candy bar and you would have thought I had given them money. They loved it.
Another game they played was the bomb game. I had blown up 20 black balloons and each balloon had a different amount of coins in them. The boys had to "explode" the bombs and collect as many coins as they could. They really liked this....Rascal and Baby A did not like this due to the noise.
I had planned for the kids to have some outdoor games but it was a rainy day so I had to come up with a few more indoor activities to keep the kids from tearing my house apart. One game was to see who could eat a donut on a string the fastest. This was quite funny to watch and poor Scooter got a donut that was much higher than his mouth. He improvised by using the wall to help him.
After games we let them dig into the cupcakes. I picked up some gold plastic coins to put on top of the cupcakes and found a Mario and Luigi lego figure for the top of Scooter's cupcake.
And then it was time for presents.
The cake and favor table
Here is what each guest had in his favor bag plus a fake mustache.
We had a little fun with the fake mustaches :)

Great party! Great details and love the idea of them doing their own pizzas! Happy birthday boy = happy momma! Great job Mom!
