Things about Baby A

Baby A is growing before our eyes and learning new things every day. Her vocabulary has really expanded and it is adorable to hear her talk. She carries on conversations with you and you haven't the slightest clue what she said but she said it like she meant it.

Here are a few of the things she says right now:

Deee- nul (Scooter's name)
Dadid (Rascal's name)
Aaa-Line (Her name)
Nanny
Papa
Ganny (granny)
Paw
Jay Jay (her Uncle Jonathan)
Maw (great grandma)
Lou (great grandma)
LaLa (Cousin Levi)
Aaa-lee (Aunt Ashlee)
Matt
Peggy
Tinny (Tammy)
B (Brad)
Henny (Henry)
Hi-eeeee (Heidi)
tay (trash or throw away)
dee (drink)
apple (juice)
meee (cat)
dow (dog)
baby
bee (boots, blankets or books)
hello (phone)
eat
potty
Amen
laaa (lap)
Keey- Nu (clean up)

I could go on but I will stop there.
She has also started putting short sentences together and some of the ones she says on a regular basis are:
"it in there"
"----(enter any person, place or thing) went ni-night"
"NO Henny" (or Heidi or Deee-nul or Dadid)
"laaa mama" (when she wants to sit in my lap)

Baby A has started to try and sing and sometimes she can get a few words right but most of the time she just jabbers her little heart out like she is singing it correctly.
She does sing "A-B-C-D" over and over again when we sing the alphabet song together.

Baby A loves to play in the cabinets and when the boys haven't shut their door all the way, I will often find her in there sorting through Pokemon cards.

Baby A loves bath time and since she puts her food in her hair at every meal, it's a good thing she likes baths. She has no fear of water in her face and loves to fill a cup and dump in over her face. She does this at least 10 times when she is in the bath. She also loves to play with the running water. She tries to grab it and then lifts her feet one at a time and sticks her feet up under the running water. It is hilarious.

Baby A is my little helper. She loves to help with the laundry, unload the dishwasher, she always pushes the chairs and stools back up to the table or countertop, if she sees trash (or what she thinks is trash) she grabs it and finds a trash can, she loves to take a napkin or baby wipe and wipe things and she is always finding random clothing (sometimes dirty sometimes not) and taking them to the laundry room.

Baby A can open the refrigerator, the oven and she is getting close to figuring to how to open a door knob. She is a whiz with a door lever but knobs slow her down a bit.......thank goodness. None of these things are really good things but I find it funny that my boys NEVER even tried to do such things and she is a whiz at them.

Baby A loves for us to laugh at her silliness. So if we laugh (even if it is at the T.V) she really starts to ham it up. Once she put her foot in an empty baby wipes container and was walking around with it on her foot. I think she has no clue how to get it off and I was laughing. Now on most days you can see her walking around like this............

.......because it makes mommy laugh and she thinks it is great fun.

I have mentioned that Baby A loves clothing and now a close 2nd is her love for JEWELRY. I am not even kidding. She loves to wear her pearl necklace, and her bracelets and now she has started noticing my earrings. If I am wearing long dangling earrings, she leans her ears in close to mine and trys to put my earrings on. I LOVE IT! Man it makes me want to go get her ears pierced so bad but Tim and I have a deal. No ears pierced until she asks for it (if you ask me....I think that was her way of asking for it) and he will not complain about the big bows she wears.  She may just own her first piece of Tiffany & Co jewelry by the time she is 16. I am thinking that would be a great 13th birthday gift ;)!
Oh the Lord knew I needed a little girl and he even gave me one that loves clothes, jewelry, shoes, purses, getting her hair done and having her toe nails polished. It is so much fun!

She is a busy little thing but she has brought us so much joy and is such a blessing to our family.

  1. She is SO cute! I love her! You will love that you took the time to write down her version of words. I love looking back and seeing how they used to say things.
