Christmas Day 2011

OK I just looked at all our Christmas pictures and there are close to 40 of them so I thought I would break it up a little more. Today I am posting about Christmas with just us five. Then I will post about Christmas at my parents later.
We got up early to get ready before the kids got up. We had to be at church for our candle light service at 10:00 so we wanted to make sure we were totally ready before the kids got up and started tearing into presents.
The kids all woke up around 7:30 and we let them grab a quick bite to eat and then open gifts. It was so much fun seeing the excitement on their sweet faces.

Baby A got a baby doll wagon and she loves it! Best money spent so far.

Yes, she rides in it too!

Rascal got Yogi Bear DVD...an oldie but a goodie!

Scooter got star wars legos

 Rascal got an Abercrombie shirt

Scooter got a Pokemon DVD

Baby A got a little people doll house

My Papa Jack and Judy sent money and I bought them these great Angry Birds hats.... they loved them!

I bought Baby A a jean jacket with the money they sent for her. It looks adorable on her!

We got Baby A a tutu and she loved it! She wore it the rest of the time she opened gifts.

Both boys with their BIG gift!

Their very own 3DS

Tim and I got gifts from the kids this year as I posted about earlier. One of the gifts we opened early and it was a lighted deer for our yard. We loved it!

I also got some lotion and a blue sweater. Sadly, the sweater doesn't fit so I will have to take it back and get something else. The boys have already said they will help me find something else.

Tim got some Bod body deodorant and spray.

The kids opened their stocking last and got lost of fun things. Both boys got silly string, bubbles, whoopee cushions , Bod body spray (which they both love to wear), tools and some candy.

Baby A got some bubbles, a little people car, some candy, books, and some snack cups.
We had a great morning and were ready to head to church on time and then over to Nanny and Papa's for more fun.
The church service was beautiful and I loved being able to have it on Christmas this year. Baby A was in rare form though. It was held right at her nap time and she was tired hungry and wanted to run around. Since Tim is a deacon he helps out with the service and also with the Lord's Supper. Baby A kept seeing Tim and calling out for him. Then she would see her Granny and call out for her and so on. When I wouldn't let her down to run around she would throw herself back and pitch a horrible fit. Oh and we sat on the 2nd row so EVERYONE got to see this! I was sweating profusely trying to keep up with her! My boys were perfect angels so at least that maybe made up for her being so horrible. After about 45 minutes, Granny helped out and took Baby A out of the service for me. Needless to say she crashed at my parents house and slept through lunch and presents.
I promise to post about Christmas at my parents soon.

  1. What a fun day! I'm so glad everyone was well and you all had a wonderful Christmas! Xander has Ashley's DS that still works great but I figure that we'll need a new one next year. We've looked at them in the store but the 3D hurt my eyes, so we were hoping they'd come out with one that wasn't 3D. It's good to know you can turn it off, I didn't know that. Oh and I don't know anyone with kids that hasn't experienced a front seat in the 'toddler scene'! It's just something fun you get to tell her when she has kids. :)

  2. Sounds like a wonderful Christmas... minus the fit at church! We've all been there... some of us more than others :)

Have a happy new year! And, thanks so much for the tip about the iPhone screen. Sadly, your comment went into Spam and I didn't discover it until tonight... argh! I need to check that Spam box more often! Who knows what I've been missing!!
