Advent Activities (Days 13 through 18)

OK, this will be a BIG updated post on all of our advent activities. I will admit there was one day that I just didn't feel up to doing anything at all that night so we will be making it up tonight.

On day 13 our advent activity was read a Christmas story. We got 2 recordable Christmas books as a gift and I had already recorded one of them (Frosty the Snowman). My plan was to let the boys record the other one ( The very First Christmas) but time just got away from us. So we just let them sit with us and listen to Frosty the Snowman. I love those recordable books...neatest thing ever.

On day 14 we were supposed to listen to Christmas music on the way home from church. Well since Baby A was sick and Rascal's ear had ruptured we stayed home from church and we just skipped an activity for that night. Truth be told listening to music was just a filler activity anyways.

On day 15 our activity was to make treats for friends and teachers. We made Oreo truffles, white chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, white chocolate suckers and we put together a little family gift for the boys friends down the street.  Here are some pictures of us making the Oreo truffles:

Day 16 our activity was to bake and decorate cookies but I was so tired after a long day of parties that we just let the kids watch a movie and pushed that activity back until tonight.

The day 17 activity was to color in some new Christmas coloring books. I found some small Snoopy coloring books that had stickers and crayons with it and the boys had fun coloring in a new coloring book that night. I was busy with dinner while they were coloring so I didn't get any pictures.

Day 18 our activity was to attend our church Christmas cantata and a fellowship after wards. Scooter had a small part in the program. He was a wise man and I think he made a very handsome wise man!

Tonight our activity is to make a craft and we are going to paint our ornaments that we made on day 12 and we will also be baking and decorating cookies too. I may try and throw an actual craft in the mix too but I am trying to get the same crud Baby A is fighting off so I am not sure I will be up to it. We shall see.
