I really have no idea how this sweet little girl that I prayed so hard, for so long for, is already 15 months old.
She is no doubt a wonderful part of our family and our little sunshine to each day.
Now for her stats:
Baby A:
~ weighs 23 pounds and 13 ounces (75%)
~ measures 32 1/2 inches long (90%)
~ is now drinking out of regular sippy cups instead of the soft silicone style ones ( for the record...I HATE those kind of cups, they leak AWFUL)
~ is cutting her molars and possibly some other teeth too.
~is only taking her pacifier at bedtimes (including naps) and in the van. Lately when I have gone in to check on her after she has fallen asleep, I have found her on her back with out her pacifier in her mouth so we may be getting rid of it all together soon.
~ is a WONDERFUL sleeper. She takes to naps a day. One 2 hour nap in the morning around 9:00 and a one hour nap in the afternoon around 3:00. Then she is in bed for the night at 7:30 and sleeps until 6:30.
~can say a few words:
mouw (meow)
mmmmm (moo)
eeiigh (neigh)
nana (nanny and granny)
Da di (Rascal's name)
she tries to say Scooter's name but really only gets "nnn" out.
momma
dada
aaa line (her name)
da (dog)
woo woof (barking)
hello but it often sound like hola :)
dink (drink)
and mumbles something for thank you but we can't figure out what it is and it sounds nothing like thank you.
Baby A can wear a side ponytail with a bow clipped to it now. This makes mommy very happy. Baby A LOVES to have her hair blow dried and will sit in my sink perfectly still while I sing Old MacDonald to her and blow dry her hair (this includes using my round brush to bump the ends under....would you expect any less from this hair stylist mom?)
(Love her smile and those dimples!!)
Baby A has discovered a new love for her cowboy boots. And by love I mean... they are the first thing she wants on every single day, with every single outfit (including pj's) and if she sees them in the floor she picks them up and follows you around grunting until you stop and put them on her. No lie yesterday Tim asked her if she wanted to go outside and get the mail with him. This girl LOVES to be outside and LOVES to be with her daddy. But she shook her head no at him ran to the living room, came back still shaking her head no but with her boots in her hands. When Tim asked her if she wanted to wear her boots to go outside and get the mail she nodded yes and was beyond excited!! I see lots of cowgirl boots bought in our future and this time it may be more than we bought with Rascal. Baby A is a mess when it comes to her eating. She tries really hard to use her fork and spoon but ends up just shoveling it in with her hands. If left too long after she is done eating, she takes what is left and smears in all in her hair. Meal time is followed by bath time 99% of the time.
She isn't a picky eater but she is the pickiest of my 3 children. My boys will eat ANYTHING and I mean anything. Baby A will eat something a few times and then decide she doesn't want it anymore. Currently she will not eat goldfish, Gerber puffs, vanilla wafers, lunch meat, string cheese, bananas, applesauce or cheerios. However she loves raisins (especially yogurt covered ones), Gerber fruit and veggie melts (these are basically freeze dried pureed fruits and veggies), animal crackers, Gerber fruit snacks and M&M's.
Baby A is now facing forward in the van, despite what "they" say about children remaining rear facing until two. She is too tall (which was noted by her doctor today) and she screamed all the time in the van. So sad to say that even though it helped with her feeling so cramped, she still screams all the time in the van. I have no clue why she isn't a fan of van rides. Now that she is forward facing she does like to point out all the cattle, horses and interesting farm things we pass on a daily basis. On our trip to school (which is 12 miles total to and from our house) we pass a field of longhorns, two pastures of cows, several pastures of horses and countless corn, soy bean, cotton and wheat fields. This is plenty to keep her attention out her window, but still she screams (not crying, just annoying high pitched screams).
Baby A's hair curled lots while we where in Florida. Once we got back it went back to being straight. It wasn't looking so cute in my opinion, so she got her very first haircut on October 22 a la mom while she sat in my bathroom sink. She did AWESOME and it looks so cute now.
She look like she has a little bob hair style now and I love it! I must admit though... I want her hair long without bangs so hopefully all we will have to do from now on is trim it a little bit and let it grow.
Baby A LOVES these two baby dolls. I mean SHE. REALLY. LOVES. THEM. They travel all over the house and rarely have clothes on. (what is it with little girls not wanting baby dolls to wear clothes?) She puts them nite nite and says shh when someone gets close, she sways with them, tries to dress them and feeds them a bottle. The other day when she was brushing her teeth she grabbed her two dolls and started brushing their teeth too. It was so sweet. I love how she is such a great little mother to her dolls.
I probably shouldn't add this last one to the update but I am gonna. It is just too funny not to keep here for memory sake. Anytime Baby A has gas and toots she always ALWAYS, gasps with a startled look on her face and then cracks up laughing. We try not to laugh also since we don't want to encourage this unladylike like behavior but sometimes it is just too funny not to laugh.
Baby A has yet to get her Chicken pox shot. We had some what of a major ordeal with our allergist and now I am looking for a second opinion (and new allergist) on her egg allergy. To make a long story short..... When someone tells you "no news is good news" and they will call if it is bad news in 2 weeks, then 2 months later they call you with the bad news (saying she is supposedly highly allergic to eggs) after I had already given her eggs (with no reaction mind you)....well you can betcha you will lose me and my children as patients. I may or may not have been quite frank with them on the phone telling them I didn't believe a word they said.
I will update with any news we find out at the new allergist. I really hate that I have to have her retested.

She is getting so big! With a big girl haircut and everything! I'm sorry you have to go through allergy testing again. Hope you can get some reliable answers!
