Halloween Breakfast

Since today was actually Halloween and we have already done the trunk or treat, family night and school parties...today seemed like it had nothing exciting in store. So to motivate the boys and to add some memories (hopefully) I decided to have a fun Halloween breakfast. I will admit I decided this at the very second I went in to wake the boys up. I knew they would be tired from all the busyness this weekend so I needed something to excite them and help wake them up.

First up ~  Funny Faces Pancakes.
I gave the boys m & m's and let them make fun faces on their pancakes.

They got their milk in their Frankenstein cups (a fun gift from their nanny) and I gave them full permission to blow bubbles in their milk. There were a few overflows but since today was a special day, the boys got to just leave the mess and I cleaned it up after I got back from dropping them off at school.

Since Baby A can't really blow bubbles in her milk and I wasn't about to feed her m & m's that early (after all I had to deal with her sugar high, the boys' teachers had to deal with theirs :) ). So to include her, she got to wear her bead necklace while eating and you can see she was very excited about that! Next year she can join in on the Halloween breakfast with her brothers.

Since breakfast lasted a little longer than usual, the boys had to hurry and get dressed and ready to go. So I added some fun to that. I told them to race to get dressed and pretend like they were scarecrows. They thought I was crazy but it worked like a charm. I told them that one important job of a scarecrow was to scare away birds so anytime they saw birds today they better scare them away.
They laughed and I wonder if they will really try and scare away birds today?

Tonight we aren't trick or treating. They got TONS of candy at trunk or treat and we live in a neighborhood without many children, so I doubt many houses would participate passing out candy anyways. Instead we will have game night. The boys love playing games with the family so after dinner we will pull out the boards games for another night of fun.

I will post about our family night and trunk or treat soon. I didn't get any pictures at trunk or treat so I need to get copies emailed to me from my mom first.

Happy Halloween!!
