Baby A's Birthday!!

We had big plans for Baby A's actual birthday. We planned on going to the zoo or some other big fun outing. We would have gone out to lunch and probably stopped for some kind of dessert too.
Well a few days before her actual birthday our van's a/c went out and it was in the shop for 3 days. That meant we were stranded at home on her birthday.
BUMMER!

I tried to make the best of it and decided last minute to decorate the house the night before so she would wake up to a fun surprise.

I drew on her bathroom mirror

I keep a drawer full of extra party supplies and it sure did come in handy for this.
I had balloons, streamers and a birthday banner hanging up.

Also in the party supply drawer, are leftover VBS decorations. Baby A woke up while I was finishing up some decorations and she wanted to help decorate. Her decoration of choice were palm trees. So we hung palm trees around the house. Kinda random but anything goes on your birthday!

I decorated her chair at the table, hung balloons from the ceiling over her chair and made her a birthday hat from some ribbon and scrapbook paper I had on hand.

I originally thought we would go grab donuts for breakfast but since we were stuck at home we had to settle for homemade breakfast burritos. We put candles in the burrito and sand happy birthday to her.

She LOVED it all!

Tim surprised her at lunch time and came home for lunch. He left to go to work before she was awake that morning so she was SO happy to see him. He rang the door bell and she ran to see who was at the door. When she got tot he door she saw him and he had brought her a red (her favorite color) rose.
My heart melted! He bought me flowers ALL the time when we were dating and I LOVE seeing him bring flowers to our sweet girl.

We got our van back just in time to go to church that night. We picked up some cookies at the store so all the kids could celebrate Baby A's birthday at church too.

I took this picture (above) while we were waiting for Tim to lock up the church.
I am sure I will look back at this picture in 12 years and cry!
And also... she is the spitting image on me. I must find some pictures and do a new comparison picture post.
