Lake Trip May 2014

Well last week was Vacation Bible School and to say I was busy would be an understatement. This week I am trying to catch up around the house, hit a few dr appointments, and have a little fun with the kids too.
Our town cinema is having a free movie every week and so we are really enjoying going to the movies nearly every week. Today we are heading to see the movie Epic and we haven't seen it yet so we are excited.
Before heading out to the movies I thought I would update the blog. Man I am SO behind. Let's rewind all the way back to Memorial Day weekend.

We headed to the lake for Scooter's birthday and we filled a few days with as much fun as we could! It was perfect weather and lots and lots of fun. Here are some of the pictures......

We got to the lake on a Friday night and we let Scooter open birthday gifts from Nanny and Papa and Lou.

He got a new fishing pole and lots of awesome bait and fishing accessories.

Scooter, Tim and my dad got up early Saturday morning and headed out on the boat to fish.

Since my kids are EARLY risers, I took them out for a morning walk.

It was such a peaceful morning and Baby A and Rascal loved throwing rocks into the lake.

Rascal loved shooting basketball but hated that I made him wait until 8 am. I know the campers would have loved to hear a ball bouncing at 6:45 in the morning.

Matt, Ashlee, Levi and Jett all got there right before lunch so we let the kids swim right by the bank.

After lunch we headed out on the boats to have some fun on the water.

Levi liked to chill in the tube, He didn't want in the water but floating in the tube was perfect for him.

Scooter and Rascal are in the tube (pic below). Rascal isn't a huge fan of the tube but Scooter can always talk him to going with him at least one time.

Matt rode with Scooter most of the time. I know it was not an easy ride for Matt because he had to try and keep the weight balanced so they wouldn't flip.

After a long day on the water, Baby A crashed before dinner.

We had a yummy fish fry that night and celebrated both Scooter and Ashlee's birthday.

It never fails, no matter how worn out everyone is, Scooter can talk at least one person into heading down to the marina one more time before dark to get some more fishing in.

I headed down with Baby A to see how things were going and Baby a decided to try and fish a bit (with her daddy's help of course). She managed to catch her fist fish and she was so excited.

It was hard to pull her away from it after that.

While her daddy helped her fish some more, I went down to the other end of the marina and snapped some gorgeous sunset pictures.

The next day the guys headed out to fish again (this time with Matt, Levi, and Rascal too)

Once they got back we headed out on the water for a little more fun before we had to head home.

We ate lunch and then headed home.

Baby A didn't last 5 minutes and she was out!
All that fun on the water wore her out (me too!)!

Here is a video of Matt and Scooter riding the tube
