Baby A and I finished up our bible study on Matthew. It might just be my favorite study I have done yet. She learned just as much as I did and we were both sad to see it end. Luckily a new study starts back up in September!!
Baby A loves to take pictures on my phone and then look through them all. I love that she wants a picture with me so we take lots!!
This particular day had been a very hard one for me and left me very upset. Nothing heals a hurt heart like having your kids piled in your lap and snuggling with you. It's seriously the best medicine!
Baby A was excited that the warmer temps mean more sandal wearing and that means more polished nails. She asks for them by name now and she always chooses an OPI color. #nailpolishsnob
I bought Baby A quite a few smocked dresses. Sweet girl has her momma's long legs and finding a dress that doesn't look too short on her is HARD. Thankfully she is perfectly content wearing smocking and they are typically made to go to the ankle. She is just such a joy!!! Love her sweet dimpled smile.
Baby A has the best daddy in the entire world. He always helps her put on her jewelry and tells her how beautiful she is. Even when she just wakes up and has major bed head, he loves on her and tells her she is the prettiest girl in the world. I LOVE that!!
Rascal started breaking out in hives last Tuesday and we have no idea why. Since he has life threatening nut allergies we feared he had gotten into some and was reacting. You have no idea the panic that sets in until you have a child with food allergies and see hives. Of course it was at night so dr offices are all closed. We debated on giving him the epi pen and rushing him to the er. I talked with both his pediatrician and allergist and they both agreed it most likely wasn't food related. Maybe a virus?? I didn't sleep a wink that night and checked on him several times in the night. Then next day he stayed home from school and we headed to the pediatrician to get some answers. No such luck... all the blood work came back normal, the strep test came back negative and we were left still having no clue why he was getting them.
At the doctor's office Baby A hugs Rascal and says:"I am so sorry you have spots all over you. I love you so much and prayed that you would get better."
And I melted into a huge puddle on the floor. One thing that Bible study taught her this year is how to pray for others and let me tell you... she takes that very serious. If I say my feet hurt she stops tells me to close my eyes and she prays for me. Just a tiny 3 year old prayer warrior!
Rascal's hives came and went for almost a solid week and we never had any idea why he got them. SO weird but I am SO glad he wasn't having a food related allergic reaction.
Now that is is warming up we might be seen sitting here quite a bit at our favorite yogurt place.
We are counting down the weeks to summer still. Less than two weeks to go and boy are we ready!!!
Love love love your mommy/daughter pics! It just melts my heart!
