Random Catch Up

Well as you can see blogging has already taken a back seat for me and I am quite sure it will remain that way because summer break is around the corner and I am soaking up the time with my kids during this gorgeous weather. So you may see me here daily or you may see me here one day with several posts trying to play catch up.

Here is a little bit of what we have been up to lately:

Sweet Scooter graduates from 5th grade this year. Next year he will be in middle school and I am trying to figure out where on earth time went?? It feels like he was just starting kindergarten.

Baby A came into my room one day and sighed very dramatically. Then she said " Mom! There are no girl clothes only boy dress up clothes! All I have are tutus!"
Such a drama queen :)
We remedied this problem and she loves her princess dress now

I love this picture of Lucy. She looks like a fluffy floor rug. She was one tired puppy!

We had the stomach bug hit our house a few weeks ago and it was a LONG week for me. Friday came and everyone was well so Baby A and I took the day and turned it into a fun girls day. We did hair, make-up, nails, and we got Starbucks. It was much needed for both of us.

Baby A likes to dress her self a lot of the times. I don't fight that battle when we are staying at home.
Just look at this wild outfit.

Baby A and Tim had a daddy daughter date and went to get a drink at Dairy Queen. Funny fact: Baby A calls root beer "Root Bayer" with her southern accent. I love it!

She may get root beer with daddy but when she's with mommy we get Starbucks. She loves the kids vanilla steamer but calls it "white mocha steamer" because I get a white chocolate mocha.

After Tim's surgery he couldn't blow his nose, sneeze, lift heavy things or cut the grass for 6 weeks. That meant that I had to learn to mow the grass. I must admit it was fun and I only got stuck in a rut or ditch 3 times. lol He had a great doctor visit last week and is now able to return to all normal activities.

I have been dressing up our front porch and I love these beautiful blooms!

The boy shave been hunting mud bugs in the ditch. Grosses me out!!!

This dog cracks me up the way she just makes herself at home. Just look at the way she chose to lay/sit

This girl is sassy but not in a bratty way, in fact it's really kinda cute.

That smile just says it all!!!! I love that picture.

Easter Sunday when we got home that night Lucy passed out and I think this totally captured how we all felt! It was a busy weekend but oh so much fun. I will post pictures in a separate post.

Took some time for myself and got my hair cut. I am in the process of growing it back long but we added some fun layers. I am loving the low maintenance.

Me: Baby A, Are you being nice to Lucy?
A: Yes, I am!........well she was growling a little bit...
Her smile explains it all!

We got started on our garden last week. Baby A and I love all things gardening.
She loved helping me get all the veggies at the nursery.

Our goods from our first visit...... we ended up going back to get more veggies.

I bought me a big sun hat because I am so fearful of skin cancer.
Plus my part in my hair always gets burned.

Our garden last year was maybe 6 feet by 5 feet
We have had it this size for 2 years and it really was a great start for us beginner gardeners. This year we felt we were ready to expand our garden so expand it we did!

Our garden this year is 25 feet by 25 feet and we have 15 things planted. We are hoping we have a great harvest this year and I plan to conquer canning this year too.

Here's the layout of our garden this year:

As always I am sure that we will have things we learn from this year. Each year we learn something else and I know this year will be no different. I will be updating on it some this summer and letting you guys know how it does.

Ok that's it for now. More to come later.
