More Preschool Pictures

Baby A is doing so great with her preschool.
She is doing fantastic with her cutting, counting and tracing letters.
She isn't a huge fan of coloring. She tells me her hand hurts, part of the reason is she colors so hard. Scooter did the same thing and we went through A LOT of crayons. I am working on teaching her to color softly and not scribble scrabble.
Here are a few things she worked on one day:

We are still working on the letter A. She has no interest in learning letter recognition and that is ok. She is still so young. This particular day we took an apple stamp, dipped it in pink paint and had some messy learning fun.

She really liked painting (what kid doesn't??), so I let her paint in her big princess book.
She said she was painting a castle. :)
She looks just like Scooter when he was younger in this picture above.

After we painted and worked on counting and coloring some, I let her practice cutting. she cut a bunch of straws into small pieces and then strung them on some yarn to make a necklace. She LOVED this and wore her necklace all day long.

There are days that she is just not into it. These are typically when she hasn't had a good nights sleep. I tried to keep with our schedule on days like this but found out quickly it's better to "teach" in other ways those days. That usually involves puzzles, educational tv shows, walks outside pointing out colors and animals. It won't always be an option to skip book work and get outside but while she is still young and not in school we jump at those chances.
