Zoo Trip

Last week we made our way to the zoo for a fun morning together.  

The kids never grow tired of the zoo and Baby A is getting to the age were she walks most if the time instead of riding in the stroller. 

We were heading in to see all the reptiles when someone pointed out that a zoo keeper had a snake out for the kids to pet. Of course this interested my boys. We walked down to see what I thought would be a small snake and this is what we found:

It took the kids a minute to work up the nerve to touch it (thank goodness, I fear the boys have no fear of snakes). Of course Scooter was the first to get close to this Indigo snake. 

Then Rascal worked up the courage to get closer too. 

Baby A kept her distance until Rascal calmly persuaded her to touch it. 

She'd do anything for Rascal ......

They tried to get me to touch it but I reminded them I earned my "cool status" by touching the stingrays a few weeks ago. Thank goodness I touched the stingrays because they are MUCH less creepy than this snake was! 

We made our way to the other side of the zoo and the polar bear was being very sweet and hanging out right at the glass. I was so glad because Baby A had been begging to see the polar bears for a while. 

We thought about sneaking in to see the last of the sea loin show but when we opted to go play in the viewing area since it was no crowded at all. My kids love to sit in this bubble but it's always packed with kids climbing in and out of it. 

Now look real close at the expressions on Baby A's face in the next 3 pictures. All I said was smile so I can get a picture and this is what I got. 

It's a shame that girl has no personality. 

They are pals!! 

We made our way over to the birds and bees exhibit. It's always a huge hit for my kids. 

We spent a good 4 hours at the zoo this time and left very very worn out. It was a fun time to soak up the sun and see all the animals. though.
