Yes, that is a slug, yes, it was as big around as my thumb and yes, it was close to 6 inches long.
Extremely gross and still gives me chills to think I nearly stepped on it.
Later that same day.... we find this creepy but not nearly as gross creature. I didn't realize praying mantis' jumped. How do I know this.... about .5 seconds after taking this picture it jumped and I nearly lost it!
I'm not a bug fan.... or a frogs, or a lizards, or snakes either.
We had the van in the shop for a few hours to get new tires and brakes and we all piled into Tim's car. We looked hilarious piling out of the small car and it made me VERY grateful for my very mom friendly mini van. Something else I am grateful for.... space/ distance from my kids in the van. You don't realize how loud your children are until they are sitting directly behind you in a small sedan.
Last week a rain storm blew in and the wind was pretty intense for a little bit. It knocked a good size limb down from a tree on our property and the boys were quick to claim it as their hiding spot. They built a pretty cool fort under the branches and love to hide in it.

This was one of those fun house style mirrors. I find it kind of odd that an eye doctor would have this type of mirror in the waiting room. Aren't most people there waiting to make sure they are seeing things the right way?
We were all SUPER excited when we had our last visit to the allergist in town. Just look at that smile!! Sweet girl!!
