Baby A Talk

Here are a few things that Baby A says at the moment that keep us laughing:

~ Henry memow (Henry meows)

~ Her nickname for Henry ..... "Henny Benny"

~ She is still VERY attached to her paci. We have lost some and the others have torn or just gotten so gross and had to be thrown away. So we were down to one recently and if we were going to let her continue to have it then one wasn't going to cut it. I tried to get her to sleep without the paci and that didn't go over well at all. She screamed and I when I calmed her down I asked her if she wanted something else to sleep with.... her reply..... "yes, another paci!!" So I ran out and grabbed the one from the van and told her she could have this one at night but there was none for the van. She was fine with that.... until..... we got in the van the next morning and her paci wasn't in her cup holder. She screamed and the boys were begging me to give her a paci, but I didn't have one. I talked to her and calmed her down and decided we would just go buy some more. This made her VERY HAPPY and she says "we go buy paci at the grocery store, no at the paci store!" I laughed and told her we would go to the store and get some and she says "buy TWO paci momma!". Ha what a smart girl!!
We dropped the boys off at school and headed to get the pacis. As always, it was a 10 minute drive to the store and she began to get sleepy. She yawned and says " I seepy momma"', I told her to lay back and rest and she quickly reply in a high pitched voice " I can't.... I don't have paci!" Just as I suspected... potty training was a breeze compared to taking the paci away. We'll save that goal for another day. :)

~ Practice has started for our children's Christmas musical at church. We have been listening to the cd now for a good 2 weeks (yes Christmas music in October... I really love it!!). Part of one song the kids sing O Come All Ye Faithful. During the "Rejoice" line Baby A sings to the top of her lungs "Play Toys, Play Toys" HA, it cracks us up every time.

~ While eating at a restaurant the other day, Baby A had to go to the bathroom. Once we were in the bathroom a lady walks in and is wearing jewelry. Of course Baby A notices her bracelet and the sweet lady lets her touch it and talks to her about it. Then Baby A looks at her and says so sweetly " I have it??". I was humiliated and the funny part is the lady was about to take off the bracelet and give it to her. I quickly assured the lady that Baby A was set on jewelry and she could keep it. How embarrassing!

~ Another recent jewelry incident..... Baby A had her annual eye check-up (which went very very well). They sat her in my lap dimmed the lights and asked her to tell them what the pictures where on the other side of the room. The first picture was an airplane and she told them "airpane" then after that something else grabbed her attention, the assistant on the other side of the dimly lit room had on a necklace. Well forget about the stupid pictures she wanted to see the lady's jewelry and that is all she kept saying. Needless to say the doctor was impressed and said "if she can see a necklace across a dimly lit room then clearly she has no problem with her vision!" Oh Boy, we are going to be in for it in a few years....

    1. Very smart idea! We are thinking since she loves jewelry so much that we might can swap her paci for new jewelry. :) She's so girly!!
