** Baby A has proven herself to be more of a handful than my boys ever were. Case in point....... she has broken our blinds about 4 times, she opens the fridge and helps herself to stuff in it, she knows how to open drawers, cabinets and any door and I have caught her climbing onto things more than once. The other day while I was cutting the boys hair in the kitchen, she pulled a chair up to the oven, stood in the chair and touched the oven eyes. Thankfully I had not turned it on recently so it was cool but we could have had an e.r. visit with that one. My boys have never tried anything like that. She is a mess!
** The other day my boys were playing in their room and I heard a loud scream and Rascal came running saying "he told me to do it"!
I went to check out what had happened and Scooter is sitting on the bottom bunk bed holding his wrists. I asked what happened and this is what they told me....
S: I put my wrists up between the slats and the mattress and told Rascal to go up and jump on the top bunk. I didn't think it would hurt but I was wrong!
R: He told me to do it!! (he was making sure I knew he was not to blame!)
Not really sure why they thought this "experiment" was a good idea but I am thankful it didn't break his wrist again!
Sigh.....Life with boys!!!
** The boys were outside playing the other day and I had not heard from them in a while. Tim went to check on them and we saw them laughing so hard. He stepped out and saw that they had tied a rope to their snow sled and Rascal was dragging it all over the yard while Scooter held Henry (the cat) down on the sled. The poor cat was scared out of his mind but thankfully, they hit a bump/ mole hill and that was Henry's perfect chance to race away and hide under the van.
** Baby A has learned to do a somersault. She hasn't quite figured out that she needs space to do one. This leads to her hitting tables, sofas, and brothers. The boys also see her doing them and think they should join in too. So 3 kids turning flips in my house = It's a circus in this house!!
This reminds me...... I haven't done a "a day in the life" post since February. I might have to just post another one while the kids are out of school. It is so crazy around here most days with 3 kids home :) I bet you all would enjoy the laugh/ chaos !!

Aliyah is my little helper. Laundry, dishes, painting the walls...:/ Makes more work for me but I love it too! She also helps herself to things in the fridge. I walk by it allll the time and it's not quite shut. It's become one of the things we check before leaving the house. ha! Lights off, check, straighteners unplugged, check, fridge shut.....check. ha!
ReplyDeleteXander is wild and rough but when he gets a little older, I'd like to think he'll be as calm and sweet as your boys. He still asks about 'the boys'. ha!
Hahaha. This for sure gave me a good laugh. They are all in the ages where they are full of energy. The house will be so quite when the boys start school, Baby A wont know what to do with all of your time.
