~ Anytime I try and plan something for us to do. Something always messes up our plans. Yesterday I told the boys that we would go and spend their birthday money and gift cards. We also planned on meeting my friends at the park so all the kids could play together. Both boys slept in until 30 minutes before we were supposed to walk out the door and I had to wake Baby A up. I guess that should have been sign #1 that my plans would be messed up. Baby A felt warm when I woke her up but like always I assumed it was from her being nestled in her bed. As I was loading up the van I decided to dig through the diaper bag and find the thermometer to take her temp. Sure enough....101.7 temp! So now our day was all centered around a doctor's appointment. We still met our friends at the park but Baby A spent the majority of the time in my arms. She wasn't feeling good at all. We only had an hour to play and then we were off to the doctor with one pitiful little girl. We found out it was just a virus and it may get worse before it gets better. Great huh? Wanna know something....... we still went shopping at 3 different stores after that. Should I have taken her home to rest? Maybe.......but you try telling two excited boys they can't go spend their money because their sister is sick. I didn't and Baby A hung out in the stroller the whole time and did great.
~It's supposed to be gorgeous today and all weekend. I am thinking we might try and head to the zoo Saturday morning with Tim. If we get there when they open and stay only an hour or two, then we can be back home before lunch and have the rest of the day at home.
~ Remember my statement this week... " operation clean this house"! Yeah, it didn't happen. Maybe today I can get a little cleaning done but I have no idea where to even begin!
~ Here are a few random pictures:
Rascal is hilarious. I wish I could capture his "full of life" personality in a picture but it's hard. These two pictures (above and below) are the closest it gets to capturing it.
The top picture he was like....what is something wrong with my hair?
The picture below.....well he walked up to me as I worked on the computer and when I looked up he was just standing there like this, big cheesy smile and all! Love that boy!
Something about this picture, I love. Can't pin point exactly what it is but I think it is just such a peaceful photo of Baby A.
Farmer Day at school a few weeks ago.
Water gun fight! Look closely at Baby A.... she is watching them closely......
.......she then grabs the hose and turns it on the boys (you can see them running away in the background). You can tell who rules the roost around here.
After playing in the water, she got to go on a "tractor" ride.
I don't think I have to explain why I love this picture so much. FYI, that's hairspray she's holding up :)
When the boys were in school, You could find me guilty of mommy daughter time. This time I caught it on my camera.
They make me smile!!
Baby A got her first ride in the "car cart" at the grocery store. I HATE trying to push those things around but she loved pretending to drive all around the grocery store.

Love the pics! Sorry about your garden! What a major bummer! I know it seems late but whatever you lost, you could probably re buy and plant just in case. My Grandma was just saying they hadn't done anything and wasn't going to do anything this year because of alot they've had going on but my Grandpa retired unexpectedly and they are going to start one this week. And you are a way more fun Mom than I, Xander hasn't even ridden in the car grocery cart. ha! I'm a germ freak! They don't even ask anymore. I don't know if that's sad or funny. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your garden! That is very sad. :-( Hope Baby A is feeling better!
