My birthday is March 30th and this year Tim had the day off and the boys were on spring break. YAY! We decided the week before that we would go as a family to the zoo on my birthday. I love to go to the zoo and we go a lot but Tim doesn't get to go with us as much as would like him too.
We woke up Friday morning and it looked like it could rain. The weather channel said it would hit after lunch so we thought we would go early and hopefully miss the rain. Well it started raining before we even got to the zoo. We decided to just tough it out and wear the yellow ponchos while walking through the zoo in the rain. It turned out to be one of the best most memorable trips to the zoo ever.
Baby A hung out in the stroller staying dry so she didn't sport the yellow poncho.
I tried to talk to the boys into riding the camels but they didn't want to. I thought it would be tons of fun but apparently they didn't agree.
Friday night Tim's parents took us to my favorite restaurant, P.F. Chang's, for my birthday. I had my favorite....beef and broccoli and Baby A had her first taste of Lo Mein. She loved it.
Saturday My mom got our family together for a birthday lunch over at my brother and Ashlee's house. We had Lenny's subs which are my favorite and we had their chocolate chip cookies for dessert. MMMmmm I love chocolate chip cookies.
I got these beautiful earrings from my mom and dad. They are my birthstone (aquamarine) and it just so happened that Baby A pulled my only pair of birthstone earrings out of my ear at P.F. Chang's the night before.
My wonderful sister-in-law / best friend sent out an email to many of my family and friends and they all sent I pictures and letters to me. Then she put them all in a shutterfly book. I was so surprised and cried my way through each and every page.
I was so sad about turning 30 but so many people sent me texts, letters, cards and more and I felt like one very special person.

Oh, Happy Day!! I'm so glad you had a wonderful family birthday! They are the best! Love your new earrings!
