Baby A Update: 21 months old

Baby A is almost 21 months old! Hard to believe in just 3 months she will be 2! Right now she is changing daily and here are a few new things:

~ She is scared of bugs! Not sure why but even if she sees a fuzzy on the ground she backs up and asks "what's that??"
~ She has reached the age of asking what everything is! I hear "what's that?" about 100 times a day.
~ She likes to point her finger. Kinda hard to explain but it's not in a bossy mean way. She holds it up to her face like she is quiet saying just one minute. Some examples..... I tell her to go potty and she holds her finger up to her cheek and says "snack" or I'll say let's go get your brothers from school and she will say "gink (drink)". I find it terribly cute!

~ She is doing very good at potty training. She tells me when she needs to go but she won't tell others. She does much much better in just big girl panties rather than a diaper or pull-up. She is TERRIFIED to poop. Whether on the potty or in her pull-up she is just plain scared to do it. Not sure how we will overcome that. Of course I have been busy with field trips, yard work and now sick so it hasn't been my number one priority to take her to the bathroom every 30 minutes. That is ok she is young and I know she will get it soon.
~ She is talking so much and her sentences get longer it seems every day. Her answer to the question " Where is ___?........ It's in room." Sometimes she will even add that it's in a specific room. Impressive if you ask me.

~ She LOVES to color. I have caught her laying on the table coloring on the table a few times but hey that is why we don't have expensive furniture and why we do have magic erasers.
~ She is obsessed with jewelry. It makes me so happy to see this. She spots all ladies earrings, necklaces, rings and she even tried to pull a brooch off a lady's shirt on Sunday. I can get her to look at the camera quickly if I just mention jewelry. Funny huh?
~ She loves to bounce on the trampoline. She yells BOUNCE and grabs Tim's hand so he can take her on the trampoline. Tim will scoop her up in a cradle hold and jump with her and she laughs so hard. It;s adorable.
~ She loves to hear airplanes. She thinks any loud noise is an airplane though and starts looking in the sky for them. She also loves to see animals outside her window when we are driving somewhere. She calls them all cows no matter what it is but thankfully since we live in the country she is right 90 % of the time.

~ Aunt Ashlee introduced fun dip to Baby A on Easter. She was hooked from the start :)
~ She is napping like a champ lately. She takes a 2 1/2 to 3 hour nap in the morning and then another 1 hour nap in the afternoon. Then she is down for the night at 7:30 and up for the morning around 7:00. I won't lie it is glorious especially when I have a week like this week and need rest myself.
~ She seems to be going through terrible twos already. If she doesn't get her way then she breaks out in the highest pitched scream. I am still debating on how to go about handling this. Most of the time I ignore it and give her neither good nor bad attention and she stops. It may annoy people around us though :)  Sometimes the moods can be remedied with a nap, that's why we started laying her down in the afternoons again.
~ She hasn't been a huge eater lately but boy is she a huge snacker. I am sure it is just a phase so I am trying to limit snacks as much as I can. Lunches seem to be the hardest meal for her right now so I am going to have to get creative with that. She loves cheese....loves loves loves it and she also loves marshmallows, raisins, fruit snacks, goldfish and graham crackers.
~ She loves to help me clean. She puts things away when I ask her to, she throws away trash, she pushes chairs up to the table and she loves to get a wipe or wet rag and wipe down anything and everything.

~ She loves to pick the dandelions and try to blow them. She typically ends up with a mouth full of the fluffy seeds though. She has picked thousands of them and brought them to me to blow....we will have the most dandelions in our yard next year for sure! She even tried to get Henry to blow them :)

I can't say he enjoyed that but he is her shadow so therefore he is only subjecting himself to the torture  :)!
