Before I post about a day in our life I wanted to share the two sweet Valentine cards my boys made for me. I love them and they mean the world to me!

(From Rascal)
OK so here is a day in our life (February 16th 2012). I must admit I am very glad I documented yesterday's day in pictures instead of today's. This morning started off on a bad note, leaving every one wanting to just go back to bed and start over. Things did not go anybody's way and this left us late to school Oh well. That doesn't happen very often at all.
February 16th
I then see him off to work and around 6:15, I start making the kids lunches and putting their lunches and their snack for the day in their bags.
I wake the boys up at 6:30 (sometimes 6:45) and get them breakfast. This day I had banana nut muffins premade but since Rascal can't have nuts I made them a fresh hot breakfast of bacon and eggs. They loved that!
After I get her ready I look at the clock and realize that it is 7:15 and we must leave in 15 minutes. Are the boys dressed ? Why NO! They are now trying to find their clothes that they threw at each other.
I head out to warm up our van at 7:20 and I always expect the boys to be dressed by the time I come back in. Does this happen? .......Most of the times and luckily for me, today they were dressed and had their socks on.
At 7:25 I start counting down the time and the boys can start putting on shoes, getting teeth brushed, hair done and back packs ready.
At 7:30 we head out the door for school. We usually pull in car line to drop off the boys around 7:40.
I love this picture of the two of them getting ready to jump out of the van and head into school. You can't tell a bit that the morning had been chaotic as usual. :)
After I pull away from the school around 7:45 I can always take a deep breath. The next 6 1/2 hours should be very laid back.
This day we headed to the store to pick up some groceries around 8:15. Baby A had already spotted the balloons and was on her 10th time yelling at them.
After we finished up at the grocery store we headed to get some gas and then went by the post office to mail off my sleepy wrap that I sold on Ebay (yes, I finally let go of it but it was a very very hard thing to do).
We get home from the post office around 9:45 and before nap time we decided to clean up the kitchen. Baby A LOVES to empty the silverware. I get all the knives out first and then she puts all the other silverware away.
10:00 is nap time! YAY! Baby A loves her naps and is usually asking for her paci about this time. I lay her down and she is usually down for a good 3 hours.
This is when I usually blog, cook, clean, and shower. This day I tried to get the video to post and had no such luck. So I started making bread and crescent rolls. Baby A woke up around 12:30 (not quite her 3 hour long nap) and I was in the middle of baking bread and making pizza rolls.
In between things I would sit in the floor with her and read some books to her. She loves for me to sit in the kitchen floor and read to her. Not real sure why she likes the kitchen floor but she always grabs some books and brings them into the kitchen then points to the floor and says "lap". It is really quite cute!
At 2:15 we head out the door to pick the boys up from school. We usually sit in car line for about 20 minutes until they get out and during that time Baby A eats her snack and we talk about anything and everything.
We get home from picking up the boys around 2:50. The boys get a snack and then they start on their homework. Then if it is nice outside they go out to climb trees while I start on dinner.
Today they came in around 4:00 with mud EVERYWHERE! Not an unusual occurrence but today they had not changed into their galoshes and their tennis shoes where a mess. I stopped making the pizza dough for a minute to get their clothes into the wash. Baby A was loving carrying them around the house..... gross! Then I was back to making pizza dough for our dinner that night.
Tim gets home around 5:00 and asks me about my day. Then he asks where are the boys.........it is quiet..........where ARE the boys?? We walk into their room and find them both on the top bunk working hard to pass a level on their DS. Love it when they get along like that.
I get dinner finished and on the table around 5:30. We had pizza calzones (although it was in one long loaf type thing.... see pic below) and kale chips.
It was super YUMMY! Everyone ate this entire thing up.
After dinner, about 6:30, I cleaned up the kitchen and sat down for the rest of the night working on Rascal's birthday party plans (see previous post). The boys watched a Yogi bear movie and Tim and Baby A headed over to see Tammy and B and get all of our cuts for the cow figured out.
At 7:00 Baby A goes to sleep, 7:15 Rascal goes to sleep and 7:30 Scooter goes to sleep. At 8:00 Tim and I work on some things on the computer and then watch our nightly episode of FRIENDS! Then we crash around 9:30 and hope all kids sleep all night long so we can get up easily at 5:30 and do this all over again!

The boys notes are SO sweet! LOVE the pics of the kids! Such cute little faces! I can't believe you don't get a nap in, waking up at 5:30! I know that's normal people's schedule and would probably save my sanity, with getting a few hours without the kids begging for something but I LOVE my sleep and can't come to terms with getting up earlier. I get up between 9 and 10 and go to bed between 9:30 and 11 and I'm still tired when I wake up. :/
