Baby A update

Baby A is almost 18 months old! Crazy to even think that she is going to be 2 this year! I wish that time would stop going by so fast.
Here is just an update on what Baby A is up to now.

~ She is adding words to her vocabulary daily. She can say: Mama, Dada, Dadid (For Rascal's name), Nanny, Papa, Ganny (granny), Pa, Maw, Henny (Henry), Hieee ( Hiedi), bee (boots, book or Mr. Brad), light, apple, elmo, eye, hair, tee (teeth), by (bite), eat, bye-bye, no, yeah, hey (said with the cutest southern draw), chee (cheese), baby, potty and there are lots more.

~Baby A is the best sleeper! She gladly goes to bed at 7:30pm and wakes up happy at 6:30am. She is now only taking one nap a day but it can last anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. I usually lay her down for her nap around 9:30 or 10:00 and she naps until 12:30 or 1:00. I use this time to blog, clean, cook, shower and anything else I need to get done.

~ Baby A is into everything! I have said this many times but only because I can't emphasize it enough. She watches you and when she sees you put something down she snatches it, when you get up from your seat she quickly runs to get in it, she blows her nose on any laundry laying around (clean or not), she loves to pull every baby wipes out of the container, the diapers out of the basket, the bottled water out of the package and I even found her in the bathroom cabinet pulling all the lysol wipes out of the container. She has watched me enough in the kitchen to know how to open the stove. Yes she pulls with all her weight on the oven handle and opens the oven....not good!  She keeps me on my toes that is for sure!

~ Baby A loves to sit on the potty. Anytime she hears someone say they are going to the bathroom (the boys announce it for the whole house to hear) she yells "potty" and runs to go sit on her pink potty. She has used that pink potty 3 times and she even went on the big toilet at church yesterday. Just waiting for warm weather so we can let her run around in just big girl p@nties.

~ Baby A loves her baby dolls. She plays with the mini one all day long and loves to sleep with it too. I must get her a few more in case it becomes a favorite toy. That way we will have multiple ones.

~Baby A weighs 24 pounds. She hasn't gone for a check-up recently so I am unsure of her height and her percentiles either. Reading around on other blogs has lead me to think that she is on the lower end of the weight scale. Some 10 month old I read about weigh 20 -24 pounds. She is getting taller though so I am interested to see what her height will be.

~ Baby A is in some 18 month clothes but mostly 24 months. It all depends on the brand and how it fits her. She is in a size 6 1/2 shoe and a size 4 diaper. We are no longer cloth diapering since she is showing so much interest in going on the potty. We were going to have to buy new cloth liners and I couldn't see spending the money for them when she won't even be using them for a year.

~ Baby A's hair is getting longer and longer. I am tempted to cut it one more time to let the sides catch up to the back but I am so hesitant on it. Right now pigtails or a big bow cover up the sides so I am letting it go a little longer.

~ Baby A is not up to date on her immunizations due to her possible egg allergy. So we head to another allergist to have her tested again for a second opinion. After that we will be able to get her MMR and Chicken Pox shots. I have a strong feeling she isn't allergic but who knows I might be proven wrong.

Baby A is such an absolute joy to our family. She is always so happy and she is such a social butterfly. She loves to give momma and dada kisses and hugs and it truly melts us. She loves for her big brothers to hold her and carry her around and that is just so sweet to see. She does tend to pester her brothers but they are just getting their payback so it is so funny to watch.
I can't imagine our family without sweet Baby A. She is such a blessing to us!
