Weekend Recap

Don't let that title fool you. Nothing exciting happened at all this weekend. In fact Scooter and Baby A both had the stomach bug and the puny stomach lasted 48 hours for Scooter. I am praying that no one else will get it. With the amount of Lysol I sprayed, numerous hand washes (and my constant reminder to EVERYONE in this house), and the giant bottle of hand sanitizer, I really don't think any germs could live in this house for very long. I am one cleaning freak when someone gets sick in the house. I spray down anything that could have possibly been touched by the sick person.
Since Friday night / Saturday morning was spent taking care of sick kids...all day Saturday we laid around and all 5 of us even got naps that where much needed.
Every one was feeling some better on Sunday but we skipped out on church "just in case". The last thing I needed was to be at church when someone got sick. We did find the energy to bring all the Christmas decorations out of the attic. We got our tree up and will hopefully decorate it tomorrow night. We might have a challenging year with Baby A and the tree. She is way too obsessed with it. She hits it, shakes it and the very first thing she did once it was up and lit......walk over to it and pluck a bulb out of one of the sockets! The girl is a mess and the decorations aren't even on it yet.
I have a bunch of projects lined up to make for the holidays. I plan to make our stockings this year and I want to make a few other festive pj pants for my kids, but all that is on hold while I get ready for Thanksgiving.
Next week the boys are out of school all week and we have some fun things planned including.... a scavenger hunt, some turkey and pilgrim crafts, probably some baking, a trip to the zoo and hopefully a fun play date with friends we haven't seen in a long, long time.
I am off now to do the last bit of laundry from this weekend. It was piled high with comforters, bumper pads, and sheets not to mention the daily clothing and towels. I am very thankful today for a working washer and dryer.
